The E² website (www.e2.ethz.ch) will provide a private online forum (with nethz login) for the discussion of course work for all subjects taught at the ETH. For students, the website will be a valuable resource for connecting with peers and finding help. For the entire ETH community, the website will provide a platform for student outreach, announcements, and events.
On E², casual forums will exist for each course offered at the ETH, but course instructors will also be able to create instructional forums for private discussion between classmates for a specific year. This will be integrated with the MyStudies system and the ELBA Diskussionsforum (www.elba.ethz.ch). These private forums will allow multimedia such as recordings of lectures to be shared securely with students.
E² will provide a homepage for current students at the ETH. It will be a page to visit frequently and will therefore represent a valuable, central meeting place for the entire student community. The ETH community and administration will have a new way to reach out to its members, and the centralized nature of E² will allow clear rules and reminders about plagiarism to be presented to students.
