On several occasions students miss these seminars simply due to lack of ‘proper advertisement’. This step would therefore serve as a medium of advertisement and would increase participation. The idea of apero is awesome too 😛

The suggested idea can be implemented as a calendar with RSS feeds also so that people can be up to date about latest events. There are so many events happening in a University where departments are scattered, I personally remember missing out on so many interesting events.

Another extension of it would be to have tags for all events, so event creator can tag the event with one or more keywords of his/her choice and users can filter the set of events based on their interest.
